Police Looking For Man Who Tried To Cash Bogus Check



FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Police are looking for a man who tried to cash a bogus tax refund check.

On Wednesday, February 18th a man entered the Ace Cash Express on Coliseum Blvd. with a US Treasury tax refund check for $5,604 and tried to cash it. He even presented a fraudulent temporary Indiana paper ID.

The employee said the photo on the ID was of the suspect. Police hope to find the suspect, and if you know anything you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 260-436-STOP (260-436-7867) or 1-800-237-STOP.
