Police: Jeffersonville couple found dead had suicide pact…

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (AP) – Police say young couple two people found shot to death in a burning southern Indiana home died of self-inflicted wounds.

The bodies of 26-year-old Morgan Julius and 27-year-old Courtney Grimm were found in the bathroom of the home Nov. 9. Police also found two guns, gasoline and motor oil inside the house.

Jeffersonville police told the News and Tribune and WLKY-TV Thursday that text messages between the couple indicated they had agreed to end their lives together.

Julius was the son of Jeffersonville councilman and mayoral candidate Dennis Julius. He says the families of the couple have “suffered a shocking and terrible loss.”
