Police Investigate Alleged Stabbing in Warsaw

WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO): Warsaw Police are investigating an alleged stabbing that happened Thursday night near the City’s downtown. Around 8:35 P.M., Warsaw Police and EMS were called to S. High Street on report of a stabbing and burglary. Officers got to the scene and found a 54-year-old woman lying in the entry of her upstairs apartment with injuries to her stomach. She was taken to a Fort Wayne hospital where she was last listed in stable condition. The victim told police that she was making trips to her apartment carrying items in when she saw two men in her apartment who demanded her wallet and car keys. She said she gave them her wallet and while she was looking for her keys, she was stabbed. The men then ran from the apartment. The suspects were wearing ski masks, black clothes, and gloves, according to the victim.
