EDINBURGH, Ind. (AP) _ Central Indiana police say a man riding a moped as he searched for his estranged wife fatally shot her at an intersection and then committed suicide.
Edinburgh Police Chief David Mann says Kevin Stitt killed 30-year-old Amber Stitt on Monday night in the city about 25 miles south of Indianapolis.
Mann tells The Republic witnesses said the 30-year-old Stitt rode a moped to an intersection where Amber Stitt was walking, stopped, took off the moped's seat and pulled out a revolver he used to fatally shoot her and then kill himself.
Police reports show Amber Stitt went to the Edinburgh police station two weeks ago and reported that her husband told her he was going to fatally shoot her and then kill himself.
