Police Chase Ends with Car Crashing into Home

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Just after 9:30 last night, The Fort Wayne Police Gang Unit tried to pull a car over in the area of Holton and Fisher Streets for speeding. According to officers, the car slowed down and pulled over but then kept going at a high rate of speed from police. The car continued south on Holton where the driver lost control and traveled off the road, then hit a utility pole and broke it in half. The car continued out of control and eventually hit the front porch of a home on the northwest corner of Holton and Drexel Streets. Fort Wayne firefighters had to extricate one of the men in the car. Both men were taken to a hospital in serious but stable condition. Officers found a handgun while giving aid to the victims.
