Police believe more than one person involved in Fort Wayne shootings

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP): Police believe more than one person may have been involved in the fatal shooting of two men and a teenager found in a Fort Wayne house.

Officer Michael Joyner said Monday that the manner in which the victims were killed “would make one believe that more than one individual was involved.” He declined to offer details about the Wednesday shootings, including whether police have identified any possible suspects.

But he said the investigation was active and urged anyone with information to come forward.

Joyner says the house was known to police. He said one person associated with the home who wasn’t present during the shootings is “known to have gang involvement.”

The victims were 23-year-old Mohamedtaha Omar, 20-year-old Adam Mekki and 17-year-old Muhannad Tairab.
