Pierceton Man Arrested for Attempted Bait Store Break-In

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A Pierceton man was arrested early this morning after allegedly attempting to break into a local bait store.

Officers got a call this morning at 6:21 a.m. about a potential burglary in progress at the Number One Bait and Tackle Store, located at the intersection of State Road 13 and County Road 350 North. 

Officers were told that the alleged suspect vehicle had left the scene. Police tracked down the car and arrested the driver, 28-year-old Joshua Eyer of Pierceton. He was taken into custody without incident.  

Eyer has been preliminarily charged with felony theft, along with attempted burglary of a business.  He is currently being held in the Kosciusko County Jail with a $5,000.00 bond. Detectives also stated that the incident is still under investigation at this time.</p>
