FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Phase two of renovation plans for Fort Wayne Community Schools should begin soon.

The district’s administration is going to ask the school board to approve a design contract for renovating Nebraska Elementary School on August 8th, according to the Journal Gazette.

The renovation project is part of a $130-million referendum voters approved back in May, and will kick off phase two of plans to fix up ten district buildings by 2023 early next year.

District officials say they want to make sure to hire local firms to handle the design and construction work.
