FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Governor Mike Pence is praising the work of Indiana's lawmakers.

The 2015 General Assembly adjourned Thursday with a new two-year state budget, including an increase in school funding, a balanced budget amendment to the constitution and a potential change in leadership of the State Board of Education.

Pence says the most important thing is the work done in education that ultimately insures the success of the state, by supporting future generations.

In a lunch-time stop at Hall's on Bluffton Road in Fort Wayne, he joked that Indiana was working for its students, with one condition. “They stay in Indiana,” Pence joked.
