Pedestrian hit and killed by train in New Haven, identified…

Update:

An autopsy was performed this afternoon on the body of a white male who was pronounced dead at the scene of a reported pedestrian/train crash on Broadway Street, in New Haven around 11:45 last night. 

He is identified as Clark Fagan, jr., age 55, of New Haven. 

Autopsy findings are that he died from blunt force trauma.

He is the 36th traffic fatality within Allen County in 2012. 

Original Story:

New Haven Police were called out to the train tracks along Broadway just before midnight last night after a pedestrian had reportedly been hit by a train.  When they got there, officers were told the pedestrian had been walking along the tracks in the path of an oncoming train.  The pedestrian was struck and killed.  The accident is still under investigation.
