PBA Tourneys Expected to Bring $232K to Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two pro bowling tournaments coming to Fort Wayne will bring in more than $232,000 to the local economy. That according to the Fort Wayne Convention and Visitors Bureau, who announced today two Professional Bowling Association tournaments will be held at Pro Bowl West later this month, featuring many of the top senior pro bowlers in the US. 

The 2015 PBA50 DeHayes Insurance Group Championship runs August 9-12 with 150 competitors expected to participate. Two weeks later, the 2015 PBA60 Dick Weber Super Senior Open welcomes 150 participants, including several PBA Hall of Fame bowlers from August 14-16. 

The two tournaments will bring in an estimated 1,500 competitors, officials and spectators to Fort Wayne.
