Paulding County Officials Investigate Armed Robbery

CECIL, Ohio. (WOWO): Paulding County officials are investigating an armed robbery that happened Friday night in Cecil.

It happened around 8:45 p.m. Friday at the Maramart-Cecil on US 127. 

According to the Paulding County Sheriff's Office, two Caucasians demanded cash. One of the suspects had a bolt action rifle, according to witnesses. The two men were able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money and the clerk was not hurt.

Authorities say one suspect was wearing blue jeans with flannel jacket and a black stocking cap. The other was wearing tan pants and a black sweatshirt turned inside-out along with a brown stocking cap. They reportedly left in a late 1980s or a 1990s black Chevy truck with black rims and headed northbound towards Defiance County.
