NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (AP) _ Authorities have released the name of a 16-year-old girl who died after a car hit high water and crashed in suburban Indianapolis, also killing the driver.

The Indianapolis Star (http://indy.st/1HPsnd0 ) reports the Marion County Coroner's office identified the girl as Courtney McKinney of Atlanta, Indiana. The girl was riding in the back seat of the car when it crashed in the early morning of June 27 on a country road just east of Noblesville.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Department has said the car driven by 39-year-old Armando Lara of Noblesville went off the road, striking a mailbox and a utility pole. Authorities say Lara and McKinney died from their injuries.
