Parkview Health Announces Partnership with Cameron Memorial Community Hospital

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne hospital is teaming up with one in Angola.

Parkview Health has announced a partnership with Cameron Memorial Community Hospital. Parkview officials say it'll give Angola-area residents better access to healthcare, while letting Cameron Memorial stay a “strong, independent critical access hospital” that's now better positioned to address the “evolving changes within healthcare.”

“As a critical-access hospital, Cameron is committed to offering the community high-quality care in a variety of areas,” said Connie McCahill, president & CEO, Cameron Memorial Community Hospital. “But as a smaller, independent hospital, it takes a strategic partnership like what we have with Parkview Health to help fulfill that commitment. We’re excited about what this will mean to our community, and northeast Indiana.”

“Parkview’s commitment to improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve extends beyond our patients,” said Mike Packnett, president & CEO, Parkview Health. “We’re focused on doing what’s best for each and every community throughout northeast Indiana, northwest Ohio and southern Michigan. This alignment will help us to further our mission while supporting Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, and the residents of Angola and Steuben County.”
