First, pictured above, at around 12:15pm, police were called to County Road 1000 West in Mentone to a single-vehicle rollover crash involving a late-90s Ford van. The driver had been ejected from the vehicle and had to be airlifted to a nearby hospital in serious condition. Apparently he had driven off the edge of the pavement, tried to swerve back onto the road, and overturned.

Then at a little past 9pm, Deputies were called to Hasse Court and County Road 1000 north to find a single vehicle that had left the road and slammed into a tree. The driver of that vehicle, 44-year-old Ronnie S. Zentz, was pronounced dead at the scene. That crash is still under investigation.
