Pair Arrested at a Local Warsaw Motel on Drug and Gun Charges

Warsaw PD drug officers were involved in an investigation that resulted in the arrest of two persons. Early Thursday morning, (November 8th) an anonymous tip was received by drug officers of illegal drug activity at a local motel, as well as subjects wanted on warrants there. Later that same day, two persons were located at a room at The Economy Inn at 3521 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Located in that room were two Meth labs, finished Methamphetamine product, as well as precursors used in the production of Methamphetamine. Also found in the room were other illegal drugs, and a stolen handgun. 

A search warrant was obtained for the search and seizure of the illegal items. Two subjects, both wanted on warrants, were detained and later charged with their pending warrants, as well as drug charges associated with possession and production of Methamphetamine, both felonies. 

JUSTIN MICHAEL LEWALLEN, age 30, of North Webster, and CHELSEA RASHELL WOOLS, age 18, of Syracuse, were booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on drug charges as Class A felonies. The charges were enhanced, due to the motel’s proximity to a public housing project. . 

Warsaw Officers were assisted in the investigation by the Indiana State Police clean up team and the Kosciusko county Prosecutor’s office.
