Outlet Sale Boosts Local Economy

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The local economy is getting a boost thanks to the annual Vera Bradley Outlet Sale. The sale that draws over 60,000 people to the city continues today and ends Sunday. Megan Flohr with Visit Fort Wayne, a Vera Bradley Outlet Sale partner, says shoppers will also visit local restaurants, spas, hotels, and malls, bringing 6 to 7 million dollars into Fort Wayne. Flohr adds that total doesn't include the amount spent at the sale itself. Vera Bradley officials say this year shoppers are coming from all 50 states and 11 different countries.
