FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A power outage forced Fort Wayne Community Schools to close North Side High School this morning.

The school district announced the closure a few minutes before 7:30am, saying that Forest Park elementary school was also without power, but classes remained in session there.

In all, close to 1,300 Indiana Michigan Power customers were impacted by the outage, which stretched from the intersection of Northside Drive and Charlotte Avenue to the northwest to the intersection of Lake Avenue and Tecumseh Street to the south.

Power should be restored by 11:30am. Check its status here.
