Orange County Man Allegedly Attacked Officer at Casino

FRENCH LICK, Ind. (AP) – A southern Indiana man faces battery and other charges for allegedly attacking and injuring a casino security officer in the parking garage of the French Lick Resort and Casino.

The Times-Mail reports that a state trooper and French Lick police were sent Saturday night to the casino to investigate a report of a hit-and-run crash.

State police say the officers determined that 29-year-old Robert L. Faith of Branchville had collided with another car in the casino parking garage. As officers tried to detain Faith, he allegedly resisted arrest and attacked a gaming commission officer, injuring that person.

Faith was being held at the Orange County Jail on Monday on charges that include battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting law enforcement and fleeing the scene of an accident.
