One man in critical condition after Sunday crash on Chadwick Drive

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – One man is in critical condition after a crash on Chadwick Drive Sunday.

Officers were called to the 7200 block of Chadwick Drive just after 9:30 a.m. to reports of a personal injury crash.

Once at the scene, officers discovered a passenger car had struck the rear of a pick-up truck.

The driver of the passenger car was unresponsive, and officers had to break the side window to get access into the vehicle. Paramedics transported to the driver to the hospital in serious condition, and they were later downgraded to critical condition.

There were no occupants inside the pick-up truck at the time of the crash.

An investigation revealed the passenger car was traveling south on Chadwick Drive when it struck the rear of the pick-up truck that was parked along the curb.

Chadwick Drive was closed between Sanford Lane and Ferdinand Court during the investigation, and reopened shortly after 12:15 p.m.

The crash is still under investigaiton.
