KENDALLVILLE, Ind. (WOWO): A public meeting on the future of the old Kendallville High School is planned for tonight.

The East Noble Community School Board is considering demolition for the nearly 104-year-old building, which also once served as East Noble Middle School but has been sitting empty for a while now.

Our Partners in News at ABC 21 report the school board doesn’t want an “eyesore” left in the neighborhood, but some residents – including the mayor – instead want to turn the building into a community learning center.

A decision will be made one way or another tonight. The meeting is at 6:30pm in downtown Kendallville.
