INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Officials in central Indiana are working on an updated master plan to help connect bike lanes and paths in the region.
WTHR-TV (http://bit.ly/1zRu54z ) reports the master plan is being put together by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization. Its work is meant to make sure blueprints for greenways, side paths and bike lanes in Indianapolis and seven surrounding counties mesh together.
The organization hopes the plan will be ready by December, with projects set to begin as soon as 2018. Officials are hosting public meetings about the plan, including one coming up Monday at Avon Public Library.
