FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The tornado that hit Kokomo last week made headlines, but the one that touched down near Woodburn that same night was stronger.

The National Weather Service of Northern Indiana says the EF-3 tornado that did a number on Kokomo had wind speeds of 152 miles per hour. It destroyed 200 buildings and damaged at least 1,000 others. No serious injuries were reported.

Meanwhile, the storm that touched down near the intersection of Doty and Roberts Roads in a crop field had wind speeds 8 mph faster throughout its 5.6-mile path. Luckily, it was in a very rural area, and while it destroyed five homes and two barns, damaging eight other homes as well, nobody was hurt.

I was on Woodburn Rd. looking north to US 24 and the tornado when recording that video.
