Noble County Crash Sends Trooper to the Hospital

NOBLE COUNTY Ind. (WOWO): An off-duty Indiana State Trooper was hurt after a crash on Saturday involving the Trooper’s police vehicle.

Around 10:45 a.m., Trooper Richard Williams was in his 2009 Ford Crown Victoria on County Road 500 E, south of County Road 500 N. That's when a pickup truck struck the side of William's police vehicle. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, but Williams suffered minor injuries and was transported to Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.

The other driver, 26-year-old Khala Schweiger, was not injured. Williams has since been released from the hospital.
