No Prison Time for Trucker who Caused a Fatal Crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The trucker who caused a crash that killed a 4-year-old girl, will receive no prison time.

According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, 56-year-old Gary Golay cried through his sentencing Friday afternoon. He was in court to be sentenced for the fatal July 2012 crash that happened on U.S. 30 and Kroemer Road. Police say that four vehicles were stopped at a traffic light when Golay failed to stop. He then slammed his semi into the back of the vehicles, killing 4-year-old Abigail Little of Albion.

Despite their loss, the Little family asked for and signed a plea agreement that kept Golay out of prison.
