The woman linked to the shooting of a Waterloo Marshall and the death of her accomplice could wait another six months before she learns her fate. Our partners in news, INC, say that prosecutors and the defense have been unable to reach a deal in the case against Julie King of Auburn. Back in the early hours of December 15th of last year, King and Ralph Hardiek were stranded in Waterloo when their car got stuck in a ditch. When confronted by Deputy Marshall Steven Brady, Hardiek shot the officer in the face. Brady survived but the two suspects were located several hours later and Hardiek was killed in a gun battle with police while King was injured. If prosecutors get their way, King will face murder charges, in connection with Hardiek’s death.
