New Police K9’s Commissioned Today

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wayne Police Department will conduct a ceremony this afternoon to commission two new K9’s.

One of the K9's, Tempo, is assigned to Officer Bradley Griffin, and the second, Coris, is assigned to Officer Dustin Engelman. Both are referred to as “utility” dogs, meaning they will be used for tracking, article searching, and narcotics detection. Coris is also in the process of being certified in the detection of explosives.


The ceremony is at 1 p.m. at Citizens Square.
