New Albany Man Charged For Having Child Porn

NEW ALBANY, Ind. (AP) – A southern Indiana man accused of trading graphic sexual images of infants and small children has agreed to plead guilty to federal child pornography charges.

Documents filed this week in U.S. District Court in New Albany say Patrick Durrett faces up to 20 years in prison on the most serious count, distribution of child pornography. Durrett also could face 10 years on a charge of possession of child pornography.

Prosecutors charged Durrett with sending graphic images to an undercover FBI agent over a computer network in February.  Agents who searched Durrett’s New Albany home on March 15 reported finding sex images mostly of children under age 5 on his computer.

Durrett’s attorney didn’t immediately return a phone call seeing comment Wednesday.
