National Weather Service Predicts Freezing Rain/Snow

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The National Weather Service says freezing rain and sleet is likely Saturday morning, and will change into changing to snow Saturday night into Sunday.

Here's the official NWS Press Release:

The National Weather Service expects a period of freezing rain and sleet Saturday morning, with minor ice accumulations (0.05” max) in most areas.

As temperatures warm into the upper 30s and 40s Saturday afternoon, precipitation should be all rain. Saturday into Sunday colder air filters into the Great Lakes, changing precipitation to sleet and snow.

Travel will be hazardous Saturday morning and Sunday because of minor ice and snow accumulations. Right now, we're expecting 1 to 3″ of snow from late Saturday night into Sunday with the highest amounts near Lake Michigan.
