FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Super Bowl Sunday is the day when Americans order the most pizza, so it’s fitting that Tuesday is National Pizza Day.

People all over the country can celebrate with their favorite pie, whether it’s thin crust or deep dish, supreme or veggie. WOWO decided to celebrate by compiling a list of the most impressive world records concerning pizza.

1. The largest ever dessert pizza ever made was 153 square feet. Oddly enough, someone made a tiny home called “Big Mack,” which is also 153 square feet. The Record Pizza Men team were the ones who made the dessert pizza, which was also 100 percent gluten-free. The pizza was called “Francesca.”

2. The largest pizza ever made was 13,580 square feet. The giant pizza was made in Rome, Italy, on Dec. 13, 2012. It was named “Ottavia,” which means “eighth son.” It was also gluten-free and the makers used it to campaign the importance of healthy food choices.

3. The largest collection of pizza-related objects has 561 different items in it. The collection includes pizza games, puzzles, matchboxes, stickers, comic books, household items and even clothing. Pizza everything. Brian Dwyer owns the collection and has it in an art space in Philadelphia.

4. The fastest person to eat a 12-inch pizza did it in just 23.6 seconds. Kevin Medina of the Philippines achieved this record on April 12, 2015.

5. If you are having a big party or are just very hungry the largest pizza available to buy is 4 feet and 6 inches. It’s said to feed 50 to 100 people. The pizza is sold in Los Angeles at Big Moma’s and Papa’s Pizzeria. The square pizza costs $199.99.

6. The longest line of pizzas was about 1,777 feet long. The Duzer Foundation and The St. Lucie County Education Foundation achieved this honor. The line had 1,800 12-inch pizzas. If Medina were to eat this line and kept a consistent speed of 23.6 per pizza, it would take him 11.8 hours to eat all the pizzas in the line.

7. The highest pizza toss was 21 feet and 5 inches high. Joe Carlucci has this record and did it in the Mall of America during the filming of Guinness World Records week for Food Network channel.

8. On Dec. 9, 2010, Brian Edler accomplished the near-impossible – he made 206 pizzas in just one hour. That is 3.43 pizzas a minute. He did this at a Domino’s Pizza restaurant in Findlay, Ohio. There was no word as to where all the pizzas went.
