Narcotics Suspect Killed after Shootout with SWAT Team

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): Indianapolis police were serving a warrant, but instead the situation turned into a shootout with members of the SWAT team.

Four officers were wounded, but expected to be okay. However, the suspected shooter, 27-year-old Andrew Sizemore is dead.

Mayor Greg Ballard says a situation like this means police will get more aggressive. Department of Public Safety Director Troy Riggs agrees that police are stepping it up, but he adds that they are also trying to help felons get jobs after they serve their time, and bring recidivism down.
