NACS Changes School Start/End Times for 2016-2017 School Year

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Northwest Allen County will change school start and end times for some students by 2016 when the district implements changes their bus system.

According to our Partners in News at 21Alive, the district will move to a two-tier bus system during the 2016-2017 school year, where elementary students are picked up first. The buses will drive around the routes again to pick up middle and high school students. This way, students to be picked up closer to their school start times.

Elementary start and end times will remain the same. Middle school students will start at 8:45 a.m. and and get out of school at 3:40 p.m. High school will start at 8:55 a.m.and end at 4:15 p.m.

NACS Superintendent Chris Himsel told 21Alive, many of the district's 7,000 families appear to be on board with the changes.
