FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne murder suspect doesn't want to waste any time getting to trial.

Hozyfa Sultan is accused of murdering 20 year old Brandon Washington in October. Washington was found shot to death at a home on Plaza Drive. 

In his first appearance in court Wednesday, Sultan told the judge that he still needs an attorney to represent him. Our partners in news at 21Alive are also reporting that he has asked for a speedy trial, with a trial date likely being set on December 23rd. 

Sultan and another Fort Wayne murder suspect in a separate shooting were arrested in Atlanta in November.
