Muncie Voters Reject Tax Hike to Fund School Buses

MUNCIE, Ind. (AP): Muncie voters have rejected a property tax increase intended to keep school buses running in the city's school district after this school year. The referendum would have collected about $3.3 million for Muncie Community Schools. The district says it needed the tax increase to keep operating buses for students and extra-curricular activities.
