Muncie Students Among First to Try Digital Play Scripts

MUNCIE, Ind. (AP): Students at a Muncie high school are among the first in the country to test a digital interactive play script for the theater publishing company Samuel French.

Muncie Central High School students are using iPads as they prepare to perform the Agatha Christie play “And Then There Were None.'' The advanced theater arts class was chosen last month to participate in the beta test, making it one of the first groups to experience a script in the digital format.

The script includes special features such as sound effects, explanatory videos, background on the characters and explanations about the scene, production or word choice.

The class is keeping an eye out for spelling mistakes and other errors that will be compiled in a final survey.
