Mr. Peanut will bring nutmobile to Fort Wayne to celebrate birthday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Mr. Peanut is celebrating its 100th birthday and Northeast Indiana is invited to shellebrate the major milestone.

The 23-foot-long Planters nutmobile and Mr. Peanut will be in Fort Wayne next week, according to Christine Brown, Planters brand specialist.

While in Fort Wayne, Mr. Peanut and his partners will be working at different Kroger locations and participating in the 2016 Auburn Auction. During the event, attendees can take pictures with Mr. Peanut and the nutmobile, receive nutty freebies.

Thursday, May 5
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kroger at 6002 St. Joe Center Road, Fort Wayne
2 to 5 p.m. at Kroger at 4120 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne

Friday, May 6
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 2016 Auburn Auction America at 5536 County Road 11A, Auburn

Saturday, May 7
9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 2016 Auburn Auction America at 5536 County Road 11A, Auburn

Sunday, May 8
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kroger at 5725 Coventry Lane, Fort Wayne
2 to 5 p.m. at Kroger at 218 E. Pettit Ave., Fort Wayne
