Motorcycle Safety Month

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): As the weather warms up, motorcyclists join the roads with other drivers. And to remind all motorists the dangers that can go along with that, May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. Indiana State Police and the BMV are reminding motorcycle riders to wear helmets and that construction zones and uneven roads can be deadly areas. Especially considering that many roads will be resurfaced, motorcyclists should be aware of “edge traps,” which happen when one lane is higher than the other. The “traps” can cause drivers to lose control. More information will be available at www.myBMV.com.
