Motivational Speaker Eyes Goshen Detention Facility For Film

GOSHEN, Ind. (AP) – A northern Indiana juvenile detention facility could be featured prominently in a planned film about an Ohio woman's struggles growing up.

The Elkhart Truth reports (http://bit.ly/1BnEuod ) motivational speaker Paula Kyle hopes to feature the Elkhart County Juvenile Detention Center in a film based on her book about growing up in Ohio's foster care system and the challenges she faced.

Kyle was placed in foster care after her mother died of substance abuse and a stepmother was abusive. She says she doesn't want to film the movie in the Ohio community where she lived because of the attention it could bring to relatives of one of the foster families.

<p>Once the script is written, Kyle's team will work to find investors and a production company to jumpstart the movie.
