Mother of Crash Victim Urges Driver to Surrender

ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) – The mother of an Anderson woman killed in a hit-and-run driver is urging the driver to come forward.

Twenty-six-year-old Keri Winningham died Saturday night after being struck along Scatterfield Road.

Leigh Ann Schattner, Winningham's mother, told WTHR-TV the driver should surrender to authorities. She says her daughter had brains and personality and was beautiful inside and out.

Police say a second driver also struck Winningham, but that driver has spoken to officers.

A detective Monday went from business to business seeking surveillance video and witnesses.
