FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Police arrested a woman over the weekend who was allegedly driving with a blood alcohol content of more than twice the legal limit. The Journal Gazette has learned through court documents that Melissa Wilkinson was involved in a crash on Saturday and reportedly left the scene. Officers later pulled her over. The report said that Wilkinson was found to have had a blood alcohol content of .18 percent. It also said that her five children, ages 6 to 12 were also riding in the car. Wilkinson faces 12 felony charges, including operating as a habitual traffic violator, operating while intoxicated and neglect of a dependent. She also faces a misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of an accident. She was released from jail after posting a bond of just more than $3,000.
