Mother and daughter arrested, accused of fighting with relative’s girlfriend

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A mother and daughter were arrested after police say they got in a fight with a relative’s girlfriend and drove away in a car with a fake license plate.

At about 7 p.m., the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department arrived to 6440 North 850 East in Howe after receiving calls about two woman beating up another woman.

The victim told police she had an argument with her boyfriend. After telling her boyfriend to leave, he called his mother and sister to pick him up.

Lisa and Samantha Goodman arrived about 10 minutes later and started fighting with the victim, according to the sheriff’s department.

After the fight, both Lisa and Samantha drove away in a white car with a cardboard license plate. Police didn’t say if the man left with the two women.

Officers stopped the vehicle near SR 120 and 100 East. During the stop, police say both women admitted to the fight.

Police say they expect both women to be charged with battery of a family member in presence of a minor. Both women were cited for driving while suspended.

Police have not said if the victim was injured.
