More Mold Woes Found in West Lafayette City Hall

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) _ The mold problem is even worse expected at West Lafayette's vacated City Hall.

Mayor John Dennis says the company hired to address the mold troubles have two layers of drywall in the basement saturated with mold.

The crews started working after the mold was spotted following water damage in January caused by a ruptured water pipe. That prompted the city to move offices from the building to temporary locations.

Tecton Construction Management President Mike Witteveen tells WLFI-TV he didn't expect the City Hall's problems to be so bad and that crews have found mold and water in several locations.

Witteveen says the company is working to evaluate the damage and give the city options for what to do next.
