ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Both good news and bad news from the latest Indiana Real Estate Report.
The bad news: It shows the number of closed home sales decreased more than 10 percent. The good news: The median and average sale prices of the homes selling are up as much as 5 percent.
The president of the Indiana Association of Realtors says buyers want homes and seem willing to pay top dollar, but low inventory continues to hold home sales back. That statement is echoed by Walter Molony with the National Association of Realtors.
Locally, sales were down more than 7.5 percent in Allen County. Median sale prices, went against the state trend, dropping more than 3.5 percent.
