Mitchell to Lead State Treasury through December

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): Treasurer-elect Kelly Mitchell has been appointed to serve as interim State Treasurer through the end of 2014.

Mitchell was sworn in Tuesday at the Statehouse.

She won the general election in November and will remain in the post for her four year team beginning in January.

She was appointed by Governor Mike Pence.

She replaces Dan Huge who led the department following the retirement of Richard Mourdock in August.
