FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne's first shovel-ready business park has a new owner.

County leaders announced today Stonebridge Business Park has been sold to NorthPoint Development, a Kansas firm for $2.1 million

The area is located near Fogwell Parkway and Lafayette Center Road.

The 40-acre site was built to streamline the process of luring companies to the county.

The deal also includes the option to purchase another 84 acres near the adjacent General Motors Plant.

County Commissioner Nelson Peters said the price of the $2.1 million purchase means the county will recover its cost of acquiring the land and developing it.
