Mike Pence being considered for Donald Trump’s VP

(WOWO): Indiana’s governor might be the next vice president.

Gov. Mike Pence is being considered to be Donald Trump’s running mate, according to NBC News.

He was told weeks ago he was being considered for Trump’s VP. Officials close to Pence say he’s had no contact with Trump since the Indiana primary in May.

Pence endorsed Ted Cruz before Indiana’s primary, but at the same time praised Trump and told Hoosiers to “make up their own minds.”

“I’m not against anybody, but I will be voting for Ted Cruz in the Republican primary,” Pence said.

Pence is running for re-election against Democratic John Gregg, who he barely beat in 2012.

He has until July 15 to withdraw from the ballot as a governor, according to Niki Kelly, a Journal Gazette reporter.
