ELKHART, Ind. (WOWO): An Elkhart woman’s trial for the death of her baby has been delayed again.

22-year-old Mikayla Munn is charged with murder and neglect of a dependent after she allegedly gave birth in a Manchester University dorm bathtub, then drowned the child, in March of last year.

The Elkhart Truth reports her trial was supposed to start on July 24th but has now been delayed, for a third time, until February 19th of next year. Munn’s attorney says she fainted in the bathtub from the “shock” of giving birth “unexpectedly.”

Prosecutors say security personnel became suspicious because she seemed dismissive of the incident, right after it happened.
