Michigan Woman Charged for Sexual Relations with Fort Wayne Minor

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Michigan woman has been charged after having sex with a minor from Fort Wayne.

24-year-old Jessica Lane told police she conceived a child with the teenage boy or his brother. According to the News Sentinel, Lane gave the baby up for adoption. The boy is suspected to have been molested in June of 2013 in the city of Fort Wayne.

The Michigan Department of Human Services was investigating Lane for neglect of her other children who reside in the town of Manistee, MI. During the investigation, it was discovered that Lane had given birth to another child. She reportedly went to meetings with an adoption agency, who indicated the Fort Wayne boy was the father.

The boy's identity has not been released, but the News Sentinel reports he was 14 or 15 years old when the two had sexual relations. Lane lived with his family from April to June of 2013 and allegedly asked the boy's mother if she could have a relationship with her son. The mother replied, “No.”

Lane admitted to police the two were sexually active when she lived with the boy's family and she knew the boy was not yet 16. It was then that she also had sex with the boy's brother.</p>

Lane was charged Thursday with two counts of sexual misconduct.
