Michigan Legislators Pass Unemployment Benefit Requirements

DETROIT, Mich. (WOWO): Some news coming from our neighbors up north. Today Michigan's House and Senate passed bills that will give new requirements for people receiving unemployment benefits. Now, in order to receive benefits, people must take a drug test. According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, they will also have to do community service while they're receiving food stamps and other benefits. The bills will still have to go through Michigan's governor before they become law.
