Mexican Food Truck Held Up

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police are trying to track down the two men responsible for holding up a food truck over the weekend.

Police got the call to Creighton Avenue Saturday night around 10:44 p.m. in reference to an armed robbery. Once they arrived on the scene, they talked to the two victims that were inside the food truck when the attempted robbery happened.

They said that two black men entered the food vending trailer through an open door on the front of the truck. The victims said the first suspect was around 5’7”, wearing a black knit cap and they described the second suspect as tall with a thin build. They added that both of the suspects appeared to be between the ages of 18-25 years old.

The victims then said one of them had a gun and was saying, “Give me the money.” One of the victims stated that money was in the cash register, that’s when one of the perpetrators hit the victims. The suspects then started yelling and took off running. They didn’t get away with anything, but in the meantime, police are still investigating.
